JON TJØSTOVSON purchased Åse in 1664, along with his father-in-law GUNLEIK TARALDSON Dale of Drangedal. JON moved close to Åse just before 1670, but did not live there until 1673. He died in 1674, and probate was held in 1676. About 1689, his daughter MARGIT, and her husband HALVOR came to Åse. A couple of years after JON died, KARI married Åsul Jørgenson. They had one child, Anne. KARI died about 1683 as a probate was held in that year. The name Lundhall means "Lund on a slope." |
