JOHN BURSLEY was one of the founders of the town of Barnstable, Barnstable, MA. He was born in England about 1599. He came to Weymouth, Norfolk, MA, about 1629, and Barnstable about 1639, where he married JOANNA HULL, daughter of the founding minister, Rev. JOSEPH HULL.
He was Deputy to the General Court in 1636, and died in Barnstable in 1660.
