DANIEL MARSH was born Oct. 20, 1709, in Hartford, Hartford, CT, and baptized Oct. 30, 1709, at First Church of Hartford. IRENE BIGELOW was born Nov. 4, 1711, also in Hartford. They married about 1730, probably in Hartford.
There are conflicting dates for the death of IRENE BIGELOW. Hale's Cemetery Collections reports a date of 1770. reports a date of Mar. 27, 1790. But the most conclusive evidence is the probate record of her father's estate. He died in 1749, and ten years later DANIEL MARSH petitioned the court to conclude division of the estate, he so doing on behalf of his "deceased wife Irene's heirs." This would put the date at 1759 or earlier.
Barbour states that DANIEL MARSH married second Anne (Stanley) Pitkin, widow of Joshua Pitkin, but
NSDAR Patriot Index says she married Daniel, Jr.
