Biography

Aslak Torkjellsson was mentioned in a 1590 writing, when he, his father, and his two brothers gave their deserted farm to the Brunkeberg church. The Uddedalen farm was a sub-farm of Holtan.

Aslak lived at HOLTAN along with his brother Egil. Each had their own share of the farm. Holtan is located on Highway 41 about midway between the villages of Kviteseid and Brunkeberg.
