ANNE GOODE was the daughter of HENRY GOODE and the granddaughter of RICHARD GOODE. She and FRANCES WAKEMAN were both born in Bewdley, Worcester, England. They married in Eastham, Cheshire, England, and settled there. Eastham is about 50 miles north of Bewdley, on the River Mersey, across from Liverpool.
Samuel was born and baptised at Bewdley, Worcester, England. He came on the ship Lion, arriving in November 1631. Rev. John Eliot of Roxbury tells when Samuel came, "he buryed his only child at sea ... Elizabeth his first borne here."
His children were Elizabeth (m. Joseph Arnold), Ezbon (m. Hannah Jordan), Joanna (m. Francis Hackleton),
and another daughter (m. John Kelly).
