JOHN WILBORE and JOAN DRANE were married, Aug. 6, 1616, in Felsted, Essex, England. In 1631, he signed
his name to an agreement with several other Braintree men to join the settlement at the Isle of Old
Providence, which is off the coast of South America. In 1641, the Spaniards drove the English from the
two Islands of Providence, and that is probably why JOHN and his two brothers were admitted the next year
to land called Hollis Grove, which was partly in Braintree, Essex, England and partly in Bocking, Essex,
England.
