ROBERT PAGE, born about 1604, who was to inherit the Page homestead in Acle, England after his mother's death, emigrated to New England in 1637. He married at St. Mary's church, South Walsham, Norfolk, England, Oct. 8, 1628, LUCY WARD, who died at Hampton, Rockingham, NH, Nov. 12, 1665, aged 58 years. He died in Hampton Sep. 26, 1679, aged 75 years.
The family lived at Salem, Essex, MA, from 1637 to 1639, after which year they lived at Hampton. The old town of Hampton, once known as Winnacunnet, is one of the oldest permanent settlements in northern New England. Many of the families which immigrated to Hampton, came from eastern Norfolk, in East Anglia. The family names include: PAGE, MOULTON, WARD, Marston, Webster, Eastow, Nudd, Dow, and Colcord.
