THOMAS KILBOURNE, in 1607, inherited from his father-in-law, GEORGE MOODY, the use for 11 years of the land at Moulton Inne at Moulton, afterwhich the lands would revert to GEORGE's son, George. During the 11 years, certain profits from the use of the land would be paid to GEORGE's children.
The children were baptised at the church of St. Mary's in Wood Ditton, Cambridgeshire, England. He was church warden of that church in 1632. In 1903, descendants of THOMAS KILBOURNE donated the stained glass window for the church.
He came to America, with his wife FRANCES and children, on the ship Increase, Robert Lea, Master, departing England on Apr. 15, 1635. He is listed as "Kilborne" on the passenger list.
The family settled in Wethersfield, Hartford, CT. THOMAS and FRANCES lived there the rest of their
life. Their children scattered to several parts of Connecticut, with George removing to Rowley, Essex,
MA, where he was made a freeman on May 13, 1640.
