ROBERT FULLER was a bricklayer by trade. He held rights in Rehoboth, Bristol, MA, as early as 1645, and by 1668, when there was actual settlement in that town, he owned property there. In 1675, during King Philip's War, the Indians burned the town, and he went to Salem, Essex, MA. He returned to Rehoboth by 1696.
It is possible that he came to New England on the ship Bevis in 1638, first settling in Salem, and if so, is the same ROBERT FULLER who testified in the Essex County Court, held in March, 1641.
As one of the first proprietors of Rehoboth, his name appears on a list of land owners there in 1646, and he shared in grants made from 1661 to 1668. In 1675, he paid tax on the levy made on the cost of the war, and much earlier, in 1657, became Freeman of Plymouth Colony.
In the division of the Rehoboth North Purchase Lands, made Mar. 18, 1668/69, both ROBERT and his son, JONATHAN, had their shares.
ROBERT had land in Salem, in 1680; served on a jury, Nov. 30, 1680; took the Freeman's Oath in 1680; served on the Grand Jury, March, 1681/82 and again Nov. 28, 1682.
He left no will and there is no administration of his estate.
