Deacon THOMAS NOBLE was born in Springfield, Hampden, MA, on Jan. 14, 1666. He put himself under the watch of Westfield church, Oct. 11, 1696, "entered into state of church fellowship," Jun. 4, 1699, and was ordained as deacon, May 25, 1712.
In town business he was much employed, having been chosen selectman in 1716, 1720 and 1722, and moderator of most of the town meetings from 1717 to 1726. In 1718, he was chosen to select a site for a new meeting house. And in 1719, he represented Westfield in a disput with Northampton over the town boundary.
THOMAS was a farmer, and resided about two and-a-half miles east of the present center of Westfield, upon the farm afterwards occupied by his son THOMAS and grandson Stephen. After the death of Stephen, it passed into the hands of Ambrose Day and in 1877 was owned by his son, Rev. Ambrose Day.
He married ELIZABETH DEWEY, who was born in Westfield on Jan. 10, 1677. They married Dec. 19, 1695.
She died in Westfield, Oct. 2, 1757, at age 80
