THOMAS NOBLE was born in Westfield, Hampden, MA, Sep. 10, 1696, and died there Feb. 18, 1775, at the age of 78. He was a farmer and resided on his father's homestead in Westfield. He was chosen as a fence-viewer in 1739 and 1744. In 1761, he was on the committee to build pews in the meeting-house, and the same year was moderator of the town meeting.
His tombstone reads:

SARAH ROOT was born in Westfield, Mar. 9, 1702. She died there Jul. 19, 1760, according to her tombstone, but Nov. 26, 1760, according to town records.

THOMAS married second, Sarah Field of Hatfield, MA, in 1761. She was the widow of Joshua Belding. She
died in Westfield, Aug. 17, 1763, in her 62nd year.
