According to "The Old Families of Salisbury and Amesbury," David W. Hoyt, 1897, p.509, the children of BENJAMIN TUCKER and ALICE DAVIS were baptized at the Second Church of Amesbury, West Parish (now Merrimac). This included the first seven children. The date was Jan. 15, 1726.
The parents of ALICE are unknown. One possibility is that she is the daughter of Francis Davis and Mary Taylor. The parents of Mary Taylor are Walter Taylor and Alice Wells. If true, then the following relationships would exist:
1. | Alice Davis would be named after her grandmother, Alice Wells. |
2. | Alice Davis would be the sister of Francis Davis (son of Francis) and their children would have married into the same family. Alice's daughter, Alice Tucker, married Zebulon Ferrin. Francis' son (also Francis) married Elizabeth Ferrin. |
