SARAH came to America, as a widow, with her children. In "The Perrys of Rhode Island", it is stated that they were a family of distinction, still well known in the west of England and in Ireland.
There is much incertainty about the true makeup of this family. Ezra was the executor of the estate of
SARAH. EDWARD and Ezra are referrerd to as "brothers." However, there is no proof, only conjecture,
that the parents and children in this biography are actually related by blood. On the other hand,
William Cutler, in his genealogies of New England, Vol. 2, page 895, goes so far as to state that John
Perry of Taunton, and William Perry of Scituate, and Thomas Perry of Scituate, were also brothers of
Ezra and EDWARD.
