AMUND ROLFSSON was a prominent landowner of the farms of KLEVAR and LINDHEIM, and was lensmann (district sheriff). GUNHILD was from Nesherad, Telemark, and died about 1575. After AMUND died, his son Peder (or Per) continued to live at LINDHEIM, while ROLF took over KLEVAR, to the north.
At the time of his death AMUND owned a vast amount of property. In those days, property was measured in terms of crop size and herd size, not land size. AMUND's property at LINDEHEIM NORDRE was valued at nine tunne (9 tn.). He also had property at West Prestholt (½ tn.), Dale in Seljord (3 tn.), and Vefall in Drangedal (4 tn.).
