WILLIAM THOMPSON was the Vicar of Westbury Parish, Wiltshire, England, for twenty years, from 1603 until his death in 1623. He married PHILLIS, and they had five daughters, including ELIZABETH. PHILLIS died in 1608, and was buried Jul. 19, 1608.
WILLIAM married second Elizabeth, with whom he had two sons. The first son, William, lived with his
uncle, JOHN COGGSWELL, for many years in Ipswich, Essex, MA. The second son, Samuel, became the Rev.
Samuel Cogswell, DD, of London.
