THOMAS MOULTON lived in Ormesby, Norfolk, England. During the period he lived there, the inhabitants of of Ormesby made many depositions as plaintiffs against Sir Edward Clere, Knight and Lord of the manor of Ormesby, concerning their rights of common pasture land. In one of these documents, made in Acle, on Aug. 8, 1587, THOMAS testified that his age was 74 years, that he was born in Ormesby, and had lived there his entire life. Thus, he was born about 1513, and was 21 or 22 years old when his father died.
His will was dated Sep. 10, 1587, a month after the deposition was made. He named as heirs his wife,
Joan, and sons ROBERT and William, not yet 21 years of age. He left two mares to ROBERT. William was
to receive £20 when he reached the age of 21.
