THOMAS MALLINSON of Bradford, Yorkshire, England, was a contemporary of the father of EDWARD JEWETT, born about 1550-1555. He was buried in the church at Bradford on Aug. 6, 1624. His wife, whose name is unknown, had also been buried in the Bradford Church, Jan. 20, 1602. These records, relatively unusual, indicate a family of some distinction.
The will of THOMAS, dated May 31, 1624, indicates that he had moved at the end of his life to
Manningham, a township in the parish of Bradford, where dwelt his youngest daughter with her husband,
Thomas Wilkinson. He bequeathed 10 pounds to his son RICHARD, and the residue of his property to his
widowed daughter Ellen and his sons-in-law, William Boothe of Horton, and Thomas Wilkinson of Manningham.
