ROBERT LOCKWOOD came to America with the Winthrop Fleet in 1630, and settled first in Watertown, Middlesex, MA. He was made a Freeman of Massachusetts Bay Mar. 9, 1636/37. On Apr. 30, 1646, he sold to Bryan Pendleton all the land granted to him by the town, and also four acres of remote meadow he had purchased from Mr. Bridge.
Soon after he removed to Fairfield, Fairfield, CT. In 1650, he deeded to Rev. John Bishop the house and lot which he had purchased from Elias Bayley. He was made Freeman of Connecticut May 20, 1652. In May, 1657, he was appointed Sergeant of the Fairfield trainband, and appears to have held the same position previously in Massachusetts.
ROBERT died in 1658. SUSANNAH married second, Jeffrey Ferris, and died at Greenwich, Greenwich, CT,
Dec. 23, 1660.
