The name Cutbert must have been an important family name as it was used as an alias for Bell for several generations. Its use died out after the death of ELIZABETH LUMPKYN (BELL) in 1632. CUTBERT was born about 1545, based on his probable age at marriage. He married in Depen, Suffolk, ANNE ROPER, whose parents are unknown. Both CUTBERT and ANNE were buried at St. Mary, Bury St. Edmunds. |
