SAMUEL DAVIS was born in England and died at Braintree, Norfolk, MA, between May 2 and Jul. 4, 1672. He married ANNA NORCROSS on Nov. 30, 1631. They settled first in Watertown, Middlesex, MA. He was admitted to the First Church in Boston, May 31, 1646, by letter from the Church at Watertown and ANNA was admitted Apr. 17, 1647.
SAMUEL was admitted freeman in May, 1645, as was William Davis, who is assumed to be an older brother. William had a son, Ichabod, who might be the namesake of SAMUEL's grandson, ICHABOD GRIGGS.
ANNA's uncle, Jeremiah Norcross, mentioned her in his will, referring to her as "Ane".
