JOSEPH WEEKS was admitted to the church Jan. 4, 1672, and "admitted to freedome" May 7, 1683. He was pound-master in 1672, fence viewer in 1666, 1670, and more. He was a tithing man in 1681, 1685; one of the commission to lay out certain lands in 1685.
In 1679, he was one of sixteen "poor" people designated to share in a legacy of £5 left by Jane
Burgess. His comparative poverty is shown by sundry permissions given him by the town, to procure timber
from the town lands. He died Oct. 31, 1690. His estate was valued at £122 3s. MARY died Sep. 17, 1692,
aged 56. Her share of her father's estate was £7 3s 4d.
