ANDREW PATTERSON came to America from Scotland in 1685, on the Henry and Frances. He settled in Stratford, Fairfield, CT, and married ELIZABETH PEET there, Feb. 19, 1690/91.
ANDREW was a political refugee from Scotland. According to the journal of Mr. McEwen they fled from the persecution of the Covenanters. ANDREW was a participant in the Battle of Bothwell Bridge. They came first to Perth Amboy, NJ, and the next year walked to Connecticut, where they settled in Stratford.
