BENJAMIN ARMSTRONG is first known to be in Norwich in 1682. On May 23, 1695 he purchased 7 acres in two parcels from John Read, the transaction witnessed by Joshua and Hannah Ripley. His dwelling was nearly opposite to the entrance to the lane leading to the residence of George E. Starkweather.
BENJAMIN's will was dated Nov. 5, 1717. He died the following Jan. 10. Stephen was not mentioned in the will, apparently having preceeded him in death.
There is no proof that MARY ARMSTRONG is the daughter of BENJAMIN ARMSTRONG.
