BENJAMIN CARPENTER was born in Rehoboth, Bristol, MA, on Oct. 20, 1663, the day his mother died. He moved to Northampton, Hampshire, MA, where he was a farmer. On June 22, 1708, he was residing in Northampton, when he made a quitclaim deed to his brother Nathaniel for land left to him by his father, William of Rehoboth. Shortly after that, he moved to Coventry, Tolland, CT. On Jul. 1, 1709, he was "now of Coventree, late of Northampton" when he quitclaimed to his brother, William, land that fell to him by the will of his father.
At a town meeting on June 2, 1712, the town chose BENJAMIN to a committee whose purpose was to find a person to eastablish and run a grist mill in town. At a meeting, in December, 1714, he was chosen as an inspector. And in 1726-27 he he was elected as a collector of monies due the town.
HANNAH STRONG was born in Northampton, Hampshire, MA on Feb. 3, 1671. She married BENJAMIN about 1691. She died Mar 20, 1762 in Coventry, Tolland, CT. He died Apr. 18, 1738 also in
Coventry, Tolland, CT.
