RUTH SUMMERS was first married to David Sherwood. They had a daughter, Drusilla, who married Isaac Sherwood. RUTH then married SETH MOREHOUSE. After RUTH died, SETH married second Hannah Maltby of Stamford, Fairfield, CT, daughter of Jonathan Maltby and widow of Ebenezer Bulkley. She died in 1820, and her estate was distributed to sons Lyman and Daniel, and to the heirs of Elijah.
Daniel, the youngest child, was known to be in Milan, Dutchess, NY, in 1818. At the first town meeting
in Milan, on the first Tuesday in April, 1818, Daniel was elected one of the Commissioners of Highways.
