OBADIAH JOHNSON married second, Ruth Rogers (daughter of Robert Rogers), on Nov. 5, 1761, at the Amesbury Meetinghouse.
Both marriages are documented in the Vital Records of Newbury, Massachusetts. Both records come from the books of the Amesbury Monthly Meeting of Friends, a Quaker place of worship. The first meetinghouse was built in Hampton, NH, in 1701. A second meetinghouse was built in 1705, in Amesbury, MA. The monthly meeting alternated between these two sites.
