Canandaigua Lake

This picture was taken from Lot 1 of the southern half of South Bristol township. This land was purchased by Oramill Lincoln in 1825, and passed on to his son, Lucius, the following year. It later passed on to William Elton Lincoln, and then to his son, Marshall, who was living there in 1911.
A similar view (sketch) appears on page 246 of the book, "History of Ontario County", by Prof. W. H. McIntosh, 1876. It shows the farmland and buildings of William Elton Lincoln overlooking Canandaigua Lake, with Bare Hill visible on the far side of the lake.
