Miss Norma Wilbur, of 5 Terrace avenue, gave a miscellaneous shower
Friday evening for Miss Julia Coy, who will become the bride of Julius Griswold of Jackson, July 23.
Guests at the shower were members of the Eight Delta club. During the evening games and music and
games were enjoyed and towels were hemmed for the bride-to-be. Prizes for the games were given by

Miss Norma Wilbur To Wed A. S. Peterson
On Christmas Day a wedding of interest in Battle Creek will take place, when Miss Norma Ruth Wilbur becomes the bride of A. S. Peterson of this city. The ceremony will be performed at the home of the bride's parents in Missouri, where now both Miss Wilbur and Mr. Peterson are vacationing, and will be a small event.
They will probably return here shortly before New Year's and will reside at the Kellogg Inn. Miss Wilbur is a graduate of the Sanitarium nursing school and has been employed there. Mr. Peterson is Battle Creek manager of the Sun Oil Co. He is well known in local club and business circles, and is secretary of the Junior Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Peterson, whose marriage took place Christmas Day in Joplin, Mo., at the home of
the bride's parents, Dr. and Mrs. H. L. Wilbur, returned to Battle Creek Sunday and are taking up their
residence at the Kellogg Inn. Mrs. Peterson was Miss Ruth Norma Wilbur and has lived in Battle Creek for
the last few years and is a graduate nurse of the Sanitarium. Mr. Peterson is the son of Charles Peterson
of Jackson. Their marriage was solemnized at 10:00 on Christmas morning by Rev. Cliff Titus, and they
were attended by the brides brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Jones. They left Joplin that
afternoon and motored back to Battle Creek stopping in Kansas City, Mo., Indianapolis and Detroit. Mr.
Peterson is local office manager of Sun Oil Co.

Miss Mary Louise Smith of 173 Chestnut and Miss Frances Gregory
of 214 Chestnut, entertained a group of nurses and former nurses, associates of Mrs. William M. Carroll before her marriage at a picnic Tuesday evening at the
Coguac lake home of Mrs. C. A. Ulrich. The event complimented Mrs. Carroll
who will leave soon for Des Moines. A wiener roast was held at 8 o'clock,
and the time was spent with swimming and visiting. The group included
besides Mrs. Carroll, Mrs. A. S. Peterson
of Lansing, Mrs. Edna Miller,
Miss Mary Connelly, sister of Mrs. Carroll, Mrs. Emma Gibson, Mrs.
Katherine Pullen, Miss Helen Moore, Miss Ethel Krziza, Miss Mary
Connelly, Miss Florence Kimmons, Miss Mary Riley, Miss Katherine Wenzel,
Miss Frances Bria, Miss Edna Jennings and Miss Dorothy Gale.
