Ill., March 15, 1864, RUTH, wife of Jonathan Lin-
coln, in the 78th year of her life.
For over half a century has Mother Lincoln been
a member of the M. E. Church, an earnest Christian,
an such a one as we could ill afford to lose. The
path she trod is luminous with example, and her
persevering diligence worthy of imitation; her last
words, addressed to her husband, being, "I'm
going to leave you behind." These were peculiar
ly touching since he almost totally deaf
blind, and she longed to minister to him to the end.
