ROBERT of Reddish in the Parish of Manchester, Lancashire, England, is probably the ROBERT HULME mentioned as tenant in the will of John Reddish, esq, 1569, and almost certainly the one who, in 1598, witnessed the will of "Otiwell Hulme of Redytch, husbandman."
ROBERT HULME saw three sons, OBADIAH, John and Samuel, educated at the University in Oxford.
He was buried Stockport, Jan. 14, 1604/05, as "ould Robert Hulme of Redich." His will dated Aug. 11, 1602 and proved at Chester, Cheshire, England, Jan. 28, 1604/05, bequeathed his lands to his eldest son, ROBERT, and his widow ALICE. His other children, John, Jane and another daughter were all named in the will, also.
ALICE was buried at the Collegiate Church (then called Christ's Church) in Manchester, Sep. 7, 1610, as
"Alyce wydow to Robte Hulme of Reddiche."
