FRANCIS GOODWIN was born probably at Blofield, Norfolk, England, about 1544, and was buried at Hemblington, Norfolk, England, Jun. 25, 1602. He probably married first, KATHERINE, who was buried at Hemblington, Sep. 25, 1584. He married probably second, at Hemblington, Oct. 12, 1585, the widow Joan Lynes, who was buried at Ranworth, her former home, about two miles from Hemblington, Mar. 7, 1610/11.
Joan, second wife, had several children by her first marriage and evidently held considerable
property. In her will dated Feb. 8, 1610/11, and proved Apr. 27, 1611, Joan Goodwyn of Raynworth, widow,
asked that she be buried in Raynworth churchyard ....
