WILLIAM ALLEN of Salisbury, MA, a house carpenter, received land in the first division in 1640. His name appears on the list of townsmen and commoners in 1650 and later lists. He married first ANN GOODALE, who died May 1678. He married, second, about 1684, Alice, widow of John Roper and John Dickinson.

WILLIAM died in Salisbury, June 18, 1686. His will was drawn in Boston, Apr. 6, 1674; codicil, Nov. 7, 1676; proved July 22, 1686. His widow, Alice, died Apr. 1, 1687.
