JOHN LEAVENS was born Apr. 27, 1640, in Roxbury, Suffolk, MA. He married first Hannah Woods on June 7, 1655, in Roxbury. He married second on Nov. 23, 1674, ELIZABETH PRESTON of New Haven, New Haven, CT.
They lived in Stratford, Fairfield, CT, for a while, and then returned to his birthplace of Roxbury.
About 1690, they moved to Woodstock, Windham, CT, where their two youngest children were born. JOHN died
in Woodstock, Oct. 16, 1696.
