Gunnar Olavson (1599-Sk.1676) had lived at Midjås 5 and Underdal 6 before he came to Felland. He was married to Hege Steffensdotter S.Felland 7b and had with her 2 tnK at the farm. It was Margit Åse and Folke Rygnestad in Valle who owned the rest. Probate was held after Hege died in 1656, and the children petitioned their father in 1670 for a rightful inheritance. The land property was 1 tn 4 mK at S.Felland and ½ kvart tn 1 notK at Tveiten. There were 22 rd for each brother in personal property and 11 rd for the sisters. They had not received the money from their father in full. It was decided that Gunnar should pay the indebtedness and his part of all land property to the children. He had no right to one-half, as his land property ownership was not included in the probate. Gunnar Olavson found himself a new wife after Hege died. She was named Guri Såvisdotter Midjås 6d and was the widow of Bjørn Kjetilson Bilstad 5. Gunnar died about 1676 and probate was held. There was then 1 tn 2 mK at S.Felland and 3½ quarter tnK at Reindal. The personal property was worth 87 rd.

The widow Guri Såvisdotter moved to Reindal 9 after her husband died. Probate was handled from over there in 1686. She still was living, but was aged. The allodial property was ½ tnK in Reini and 1 quarter tnK in Midjås that her children inherited from the two marriages. After Gunnar and Guri died the farm was divided into smaller farms.

Torbjørn Sondreson Svalastoga (1634-Sk.1708) from Grungedal came to the farm from Åse 8 about 1661. His wife's name was Kristi Tarjeisdtr and she got a mortgage on 1 tnK at Haugehåtveit from Knut Knutson in 1655 for 147 rd. They paid Gunnar Bjåland 20 rd so that Talleiv and Mari would get to use 1 tnK at Bjåland. In addition they also paid 20 rd and 2 spring cows in order to get Haugehåtveit. In addition to this farm they also owned land in Tortveit, Nedgarden, Onsaker, Åmli and Lien, totally 2 and 1 quarter tnK. Talleiv Bjåland sued in 1668 for the use of Haugehåtveit. An agreement was reached again that Torbjørn would pay 36 rd for the farm, but after Mari Bjåland was dead, the heirs had to pay the money back.

Torbjørn Sondreson had himself rights to Haugehåtveit. His father, Sondre Oddson Svalastoga owned land at the farm before him. We have not a clue how this was, but a bumerket [signature mark "X" of an illiterate person] of Torbjørn was quite similar to that of Halvor Haugehåtveit 3.

Torbjørn bought out Olav Nikulsson in 1674 for 100 rd and was then the sole owner of the entire farm. In 1677 he sold ½ tnK of Hærstad to Rolv Gunleikson Hærstad for 60 rd. This must have been inheritance that Gunhild Olavsdtr Haugehåtveit got at the estate settlement in 1669 after Gro Gunleiksdtr Hærstad died. Three years later he was involved in a lawsuit concerning Fiskemostrand in Vinje together with Steinar Nylende.

Around 1684 Torbjørn moved to Svalastoga, but was in 1706 sued by Nikuls Olavson Homme who wanted to buy Haugehåtveit. It then was decided that Nikuls should have 150 rd for the allodial rights. Torbjørn and his children acquired the farm.

Olav Lofthus had 11 setK in Reindal in 1688 and must surely have been Olav Gunnarson Reindal 10. It was his brother, Såvi Gunnarson S.Felland 8h (1647-1729) who now got to use the farm for a generation.

An Olav probably came to Reindal after Guri died; it would have been her son Olav Gunnarson S.Felland 8i. In 1688 it was Olav V.Lofthus 8 who owned almost the entire farm, 11 setK. After that time Olav Gunnarson Reindal owned this himself until his own death. He probably used both the farms a couple years. Olav Gunnarson purchased inheritance in Reindal from his brother Såvi and his sister Torunn in 1686 for 40 rd. At a wedding at Reindal in 1704 there was a rowdy scuffle. Two fights came before the court to settle. Probably it was the oldest daughter, Tore, who married at that time.

Olav was married to Guro Torbjørnsdtr Haugehåtveit 8b (1659-1737) and a probate was held after he died in 1720. The allodial property was 5½ mK in Reindal, 3½ mK in Underdal and 2 tnK in Reini. It was a particularly substantial estate worth over 1805 rd.
