ABIGAIL DIMON, the fifth child but first daughter of MOSES DIMON, was baptized in Fairfield, Fairfield, CT, on Aug. 17, 1707. On Mar. 30, 1731, she married JOSEPH HILL of Greenfield Hill, Fairfield, CT. ABIGAIL died at Greenfield Hill on Apr. 25, 1774, and JOSEPH died there on Mar. 6, 1797. Tombstones in the Greenfield Hill Cemetery mark the graves of both , although ABIGAIL's tombstone has been broken by vandals in recent years (1983).
Calling himself "far advanced in life", JOSEPH HILL signed his will on Nov. 9, 1787. Because his wife
had predeceased him, JOSEPH divided his entire estate among his two living children, SARAH and Ebenezer,
and thirteen grandchildren.
