p. 156: Company D of the 126th Regiment Infantry of the Union Army was recruited wholly from Ontario County.  Spencer F. Lincoln was second lieutenant.
p. 167: Naples Cyrillo S. Lincoln, of Naples, served four terms in the State Assembly, from 1872-75
p. 380: Gorham The town of Gorham was first called "Easton", then in 1806 changed to "Lincoln".  And finally changed to "Gorham" the following year
p. 384: "     Otis Lincoln came to this town from Otsego County in 1806.  His son, Henry, lived with him. Henry died in 1885.  When the book was written in 1911, Henry's grandson was living at the homestead.
p. 393: "     L. C. Lincoln was a town justice in 1911
p. 473:       S. Bristol South Bristol became a separate town from Bristol in 1838.
p. 479: "     Lucius Lincoln came here in 1816 and settled on property now (1911) occupied by Marshall Lincoln, his grandson.  The father of Lucius also lived here.
p. 112: "     L. Lincoln was a delegate from South Bristol to the Republican convention in 1855.

p. 118: under subtitle Joint District No. 12 (this section concerning school districts in Town of Canandaigua) - The following statement was given: "A man named Rockwell married Rev. Zadoc Hunn's daughter, and was known as the keeper of a tavern." By other info given in the paragraph, Rev. Hunn resided in Canandiagua between 1795 and his death in 1801..

Note:  Book is in 2 sections - 1st part covers history of Ontario Co., 2nd part is family sketches. There are separate indices for both sections, but index for first half is not complete - hard to search, may have missed something. Neither index lists all surnames found in book. No Ingalls families listed. Browns found, but found nothing to link with mine, yet.
 
Looked for surnames of BROWN, INGALLS, LINCOLN & SOUTHWORTH.

1872-73-74 Cyrillo S. Lincoln, Assemblyman.
p. 153 1806 Town of Gorham:   District No. 13 has been known as the Gage District. Among its first settlers was Otis Lincoln, who came from Otsego County in 1806, and located on Lot 2. Lincoln had served as a soldier in the Revolution, and when one of his sons was drafted during the war of 1812, the old man served as a substitute, an instance of rare and remarkable character.
p. 249 1816 Lucius Lincoln came in 1816, T.L. Lincoln living (in 1876) at the site where Lucius settled.
